Date Sour – creamy, refreshing & full of flavor! 🍋
The Date Sour is the perfect combination of depth and freshness. The Date Liqueur provides a gentle, nutty sweetness, while lemon juice delivers the necessary zing. Simple syrup ties everything together, and the egg white gives the drink a velvety, creamy texture. It’s a rich, smooth cocktail that surprises and delights—just shake, pour, and enjoy! 🥃✨
Glass: Whiskey glass
Ice: Ice cubes
Fruit: None
5cl Date Liqueur
3cl Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1cl Simple syrup
2cl Egg white or chickpea water (aquafaba) as an alternative
Preparation:
- Fill the whiskey glass to the brim with ice to chill it.
- Fill the shaker about two-thirds with ice, then add all the ingredients.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously until the outside is completely covered in condensation.
- Give it at least 10 more strong shakes until the shaker is so cold you can barely hold it.
- Empty the whiskey glass (removing all ice).
- Strain the drink into the glass through a standard cocktail strainer and then through a fine kitchen sieve.
- Serve immediately!
